Subgum Wonton Soup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup ground pork
- 1/2 cup shrimp, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup bamboo shoots, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup carrots, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 8 cups chicken broth
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, shrimp, water chestnuts, green onions, bamboo shoots, celery, carrots, garlic powder, ginger powder, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle. Moisten the edges with water and press to seal.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
- Drop the wontons into the boiling broth and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top and are cooked through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
