Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1/2 cup shrimp, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup bamboo shoots, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup carrots, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 8 cups chicken broth

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, shrimp, water chestnuts, green onions, bamboo shoots, celery, carrots, garlic powder, ginger powder, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  2. Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle. Moisten the edges with water and press to seal.
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  4. Drop the wontons into the boiling broth and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top and are cooked through.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
